Meet the team

Darryl Walker

Darryl Walker works with senior managers to improve the management of physical assets and the delivery of large capital projects and programs; topics that have been the subject of presentations delivered by Darryl at international conferences. Before co-founding Huegin Darryl worked with both Booz Allen Hamilton and KPMG Business Advisory Services during his consulting career.

Jamie Blair

Jamie Blair has worked extensively in consulting over the last ten years. Prior to co-founding Huegin Jamie held senior management positions in large consultancies including companies that are now part of the QinetIQ group. Jamie is currently working with investment banks and other large asset owners in Australia and Europe to optimise capital asset allocation decisions.


 

Ian Baddock

During Ian’s 23 years in the construction and property industry, he has been involved in a large range of project types across a multitude of sectors. Recent emphasis has been in the Education and Health fields as well as commercial property trusts. With his previous company Ian was responsible for creating and implementing the strategic business plan and driving the company towards achieving its long term goals.

Richard Buller

Richard Buller is currently working with clients in Australia to deliver business process re-engineering change programs and to provide project management methodology improvements for large capital projects. Before joining Huegin, Richard has held senior project and program manager positions over the last twelve years in aerospace and defence engineering consultancies in Australia and Europe.

Nick Fernley

Nick has been working in the online/IT industry since 1996. Trained as a designer he spent most of his formative years designing websites and interfaces for a number of Australian and US travel companies. Nick has held senior project management roles in design agencies and software houses since 2000 delivering projects for domestic and international clients. He brings to the Huegin team an eye for detail and a methodical approach to project delivery.

Julie Lum

Julie has worked in a support role across various industries including banking, internet, recruitment, property consulting and the automotive industry. Her most recent position working for BMW Group NZ involved the strategic planning and ordering of BMW and MINI vehicles to achieve premium status in the luxury car market in New Zealand.

Ben Petschel

Ben studied applied mathematics and mathematical finance at the University of Queensland.  He has worked in Operational Risk modelling for St.George Bank and Westpac, and Risk Model Validation for ANZ Bank.

Oliver Skelding

Before working at Huegin Consulting Oliver worked for NSW Procurement for 18 months working on State contracts. Last year he completed a Master of Economics at Sydney University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from Adelphi University in New York.

Ben Twomey

Ben is a practitioner of applied operations research, statistics and decision science.  Since the late 1990′s he has created highly successful simulation-based solutions to solve complex problems under uncertainty in the defence and aerospace domains, for resources companies like Orica Mining Services and Rio Tinto’s Dampier Salt operation, and most recently for Ergon Energy in the utilities sector.  He has built simulations to analyse training systems, queuing problems, mining operations, work forces, diverse supply chains, factories, salt mining and project execution. Ben holds a Master of Science Degree in Operations Research and Statistics from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Diploma in Information Management and Analysis and is a Certified ExtendSim Consultant.  In 2006 while employed at the Boeing Company, he was internationally recognised as an Associate Technical Fellow in Boeing’s Technical Excellence Program.
